Outstanding for Others
Welcome to the end of another rich and rewarding term at the College. Over the past 10 weeks, our students have continued to embrace the many opportunities before them, growing in their learning, relationships, faith and service as they strive towards our Vision of being Outstanding for Others.
This simple yet deeply meaningful vision calls each member of our community to pursue excellence, develop their God-given gifts, and use those gifts in ways that make a positive difference in the lives of others. It reflects the words of Jesus in the John’s Gospel:
"I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10)
At Corpus Christi, living life to the full means engaging wholeheartedly in the opportunities before us, striving to become the people God calls us to be, and using our talents in service of others. It is a vision of growth, purpose and contribution that sits at the heart of everything we do.
Throughout the term, our students have brought this vision to life in countless ways. Their creativity has been celebrated through the Performing Arts Festival, Angelico Arts Exhibition and Nexis Arts Festival; their compassion expressed through LifeLink, the Vinnies Winter Sleepout and the World's Greatest Shave; and their curiosity and perseverance demonstrated through initiatives such as Science Week, Languages Week, Public Speaking and Tournament of the Minds.
At the same time, students have strengthened their sense of belonging through House Patron Day, the Inter-House Carnivals and a range of community events, while deepening their faith through retreats, prayer experiences and sacramental programs. They have strived towards academic success through a readiness to learn and becoming agents of their own educational journey. Collectively, these experiences reflect the richness of a holistic Catholic education, one that nurtures the mind, inspires the spirit, strengthens character and encourages each student to make a meaningful contribution to the world around them.
We are looking forward to gathering as a whole school community this Thursday to present our Colours and Service Awards to those students who have modelled what is means to be Outstanding to Others through living out our Values in a real and genuine way. During this assembly we will also formally recognise our 2027 student leaders and acknowledge the contribution of our 2026 Year 12 cohort.
As our senior students move towards the conclusion of their time at Corpus Christi, we thank them for the leadership and example they have provided to our community. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with our Graduating Class of 2026 as they navigate the few remaining weeks at the College with determination and plan for the exciting next chapter of their journey.
We also acknowledge our departing Prefect team, led by Head Girl Amelie Braine and Head Boy Leo Webb, who have carried the responsibility of leadership with generosity, humility and commitment, helping to shape the culture, spirit and character of the College.
Pope Francis reminds us that the best leaders are not those who seek recognition, but those who seek opportunities to serve. Throughout the year, our Prefects have sought to live this message in the way they have supported others, fostered belonging and contributed to the life of our community.
The appointment of new student leaders is always a significant occasion in the life of the College. It marks the passing of stewardship from one generation of students to the next and reflects the trust placed in our young people to lead with Courage, Commitment and Compassion. We congratulate our incoming Prefects, led by led by Head Girl Nicole Wharton-Street and Head Boy Jeffery Sackey, and look forward to the contribution they will make as they continue to build upon the strong foundations laid by those who have gone before them and strive to be truly Outstanding for Others.
As we conclude another busy and rewarding term, I would like to once again thank our parents, caregivers and families for the many ways in which they contribute to the life of the College. The partnership between home and school is central to the growth and wellbeing of our students, and we are grateful for the trust, encouragement and support that families provide each day.
I also extend my thanks to our Friends of Corpus Executive and the many parent volunteers who generously shared their time and talents throughout the term. Their commitment helps strengthen the sense of connection and belonging that is such an important part of our community.
My gratitude also extends to our School Advisory Council for their guidance and support. Their insights and thoughtful stewardship continue to assist the College as we plan for the future and seek to provide the very best opportunities for our students.
I would like to acknowledge our dedicated K-12 staff who continue to invest enormously in the lives of our young people and create the conditions and opportunities to allow them to flourish. Their professionalism, care and commitment make possible the rich and holistic educational experience that our students enjoy.
Finally, I would like to inform our community that I will be away on leave during Term 4, with Vice Principal Tim Shanassy fulfilling the Principal role whilst I am away. Resultant short-term senior leadership adjustments include:

As we enter the holiday break, I encourage families to take the opportunity to rest, reconnect and enjoy time together. May the coming weeks provide moments of renewal and gratitude, and we look forward to welcoming students back for a highly anticipated final term of the year, refreshed, energised and ready to make the most of all that lies ahead.

The Corpus Christi College Music Tuition Scholarship offers Year 7 students entering in 2027 the opportunity to develop their musical talents through subsidised instrumental tuition, instrument hire and performance opportunities.
Valued at approximately $6,000 over three years, families contribute just $700 across the Scholarship period.
Available instruments for 2027: Clarinet, Double Bass/Electric Bass, Euphonium/Tuba, French Horn, Percussion, Saxophone, Trombone, Trumpet, Viola and Violin.
Students are expected to participate fully in lessons, ensembles and performances while contributing positively to the College's Music program.

Congratulations to all students who participated in the 2026 Public Speaking Night, an inspiring showcase of confidence, courage and communication. From prepared speeches to impromptu presentations, students took to the stage with passion, poise and determination, sharing their ideas and challenging themselves in front of a supportive audience.

Courage, Commitment and Compassion were on full display at the ACC A Division Athletics Carnival on Wednesday 16 September, as Corpus Christi College athletes delivered an outstanding team performance at WA Athletics Stadium.
Competing against some of Western Australia's strongest athletics programs, Corpus students embraced both the challenging conditions and fierce competition throughout the day. A thrilling battle unfolded between Corpus Christi College, Chisholm Catholic College and St Stephen's School, with positions changing throughout the carnival as athletes fought for every point.
Corpus closed the gap to within four points of Chisholm during the latter stages of competition, but the relay events ultimately proved decisive. Despite the narrow margin, Corpus successfully held off St Stephen's School to secure 6th place overall and maintain ACC A Division status for another year.
A particular highlight was the consistency of the College's boys' squads across all age groups, with the Senior Boys finishing 3rd in their shield competition, an excellent achievement against high-calibre opposition.

Pre-Kindergarten 2028
Families with a child who will turn three years of age in 2028 are invited to register their interest in our 3-Year-Old Pre-Kindergarten program.

Year 7 2029 Entry
The College is currently welcoming enrolment applications for entry into Year 7 2029.
Families with children currently attending other schools, and who are interested in seeking a place for Year 7 2029, are encouraged to submit an enrolment application at their earliest convenience.
Kindergarten 2029 Entry
Families with children who are eligible to commence Kindergarten in 2029 are welcome to lodge an enrolment application at their earliest convenience.
Sibling Enrolments
The Enrolments Team would like to remind families that an enrolment application is required for all siblings seeking entry into any year group. We encourage families to submit these applications promptly to ensure they are included in the enrolment process. Gently used uniforms can be donated to support sustainability and help other families in our community. Information is detailed below.

As we prepare for the return to summer uniform in Term 4, the Uniform Shop will hold two walk-in opening days during the October school holidays to assist families with any uniform purchases before the start of term.
Open Days
Wednesday 7 October | 9.00am - 3.30pm
Friday 9 October | 9.00am - 3.30pm
Term 4 commences for all students on Monday 12 October, with the Uniform Shop returning to its usual term-time opening hours from this date.
We encourage families to take advantage of these holiday opening days to ensure students are ready for the start of Term 4. Further information will also be available on the Uniform Shop webpage.

Corpus students are invited to put their best foot forward for a great cause by taking part in our Crocs, Socks & Birkenstocks for LifeLink Fundraiser.
On this special fundraising day, students can swap their regular school shoes for their favourite pair of Crocs or Birkenstocks, complete with socks, while wearing their House Uniform. A gold coin donation is requested, with all proceeds supporting the important work of LifeLink, which provides vital assistance to people and families in need throughout our community.
This fun initiative is an opportunity for students to express their House spirit while making a meaningful contribution to those facing hardship. Every donation, no matter how small, helps LifeLink continue its mission of bringing hope, care and support to vulnerable members of our community.
Students are encouraged to embrace the fun of the day, whether that means colourful Crocs, classic Birkenstocks, bright socks, or a combination of all three. Together, we can make a difference while celebrating our commitment to service and social justice.
Donations will be collected by Classroom Teachers in Junior School and Homeroom Teachers in Senior School.
Important Safety Reminder: Students participating in practical Senior School subjects, including Food Technology/Cooking, Physical Education, Science, and Design & Technology, must bring appropriate enclosed footwear to change into for these lessons in accordance with safety requirements.

On Friday 11 September, students from Pre-Primary to Year 12 will come together to celebrate House Patron Day 2026 under the theme Many Houses, One Family. The day will feature a Whole College Mass, House Buddy activities, festival celebrations and the much-anticipated House Rock competition, creating opportunities for students to celebrate their House spirit and grow in Courage, Commitment and Compassion.

On Saturday, the 5th of September 8 Corpus teams competed in the Tournament of Minds at ECU Joondalup. The TOM this year was a huge event with 71 schools and 172 teams competing.
Every Corpus student conducted themselves with poise and precision showcasing their ability to critically think under pressure and to work as a highly effective team. I’m very proud to say that one of the Year 9 teams, The Committed Creators, made it to the State Finals while another two other teams, The 150’s and The Terrifically Talented Time Travelers received Certificate of Merit Awards, both placing in the top nine STEM teams in the state with outstanding overall scores. A remarkable achievement. Go Corpus!

Corpus students this term have taken to stages across Perth as part of the Performing Arts Festival (PAF), showcasing their talents across Music, Dance and Drama.
The Performing Arts Festival provides students with the opportunity to perform before adjudicators, receive valuable feedback and develop confidence through authentic performance experiences. For many students, it is a chance to step outside their comfort zone, share their creativity and experience the joy of performing.
This year, Corpus students and ensembles delivered an outstanding 84 entries, achieving 24 Outstanding Awards, 35 Excellence Awards and 21 Merit Awards.
While we are incredibly proud of these results, we are just as proud of the commitment behind them. Every performance represents hours of rehearsal, persistence, teamwork and the courage to step onto a stage and give it your best.
The success of our students reflects the strength of the Arts at Corpus and the passion of those who bring them to life. Through Music, Dance and Drama, students are challenged to grow as performers, collaborators and confident young people, discovering their unique voice and sharing their gifts with our wider community. Thank you to our dedicated staff, directors, conductors and tutors who continue to inspire and nurture a love of the Arts.

Corpus Christi College offers a Learn to Swim Program onsite at the Jennifer Reilly Aquatic Centre. The aquatic centre features a covered and heated 25 metre, eight-lane indoor lap and water polo pool, a separate 12 metre learn-to-swim pool and terrace seating for 180 people. Our Learn to Swim Program is facilitated by Speed With Style, a company who provide a unique approach to swim teaching called Individualised Custom Teaching, which was developed by Dr Nigel Williams in collaboration with head coach and Speed with Style Founder - John Williams.
The Learn to Swim Program is available to both Corpus Christi College students and those external to the College.

Active Kids Sports is Murdoch Active's exciting after-school sports program designed for children aged 5-12 years. Through a variety of structured sports activities, children develop confidence, teamwork, coordination, and fundamental movement skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Murdoch Psychology Clinic is pleased to be offering a new Reflective Parenting Group, an 8-week psychoeducational program for parents of children aged 4-12 years.
The group aims to help parents better understand their child's behaviour, strengthen parent-child relationships, and develop skills to support emotional connection and wellbeing.

Congratulations to Olivia Stott, Callum Morgan and Mason Fidzewicz on their selection in the ACC All Star Representative Australian Football Teams for the inter-association matches held at Fremantle Oval on 11 September.
To be selected in an ACC All Star team is a significant achievement, recognising students who have demonstrated outstanding skill, commitment and sportsmanship throughout the season. Their selection places them among the top Australian Rules footballers across ACC member schools and reflects the dedication they have shown both on and off the field.
We also congratulate Clodagh Wilbraham, Mikayla Jansen and Juanita Burling, who were named as emergencies for the ACC All Star Girls Team. Being recognised at this level is an outstanding accomplishment and highlights the strength of football at Corpus Christi College.
Please join us in congratulating Olivia, Callum, Mason, Clodagh, Mikayla and Juanita on this well-deserved recognition and for representing the College with pride.

Congratulations to Arielle Guilfoyle and Hollie Chapman on their selection into the Netball WA Fever in Time Program.
Earlier this year, Arielle and Hollie were selected to represent their respective netball associations at the Association Championships in June, with Arielle representing South Districts Netball Association (SDNA) and Hollie representing Fremantle Netball Association (FNA).
Following strong performances at the championships, both students were talent identified by Netball WA and invited to join a select group of athletes in the Fever in Time Program.
The pair are currently participating in the high-performance training program and will represent their squads at the State Cup from 8-11 October. Hollie has been selected in the Under 15 program, while Arielle is part of the Under 16 program. Although they will compete in different age groups, they have enjoyed the opportunity to train together throughout the program.
This is an outstanding achievement and a reflection of the dedication, skill and commitment both students have shown to their sport. We wish Arielle and Hollie every success as they continue their netball journey and represent their programs at the State Cup.
