Performing Arts Festival

Over the past seven weeks, Corpus students have taken to stages across Perth as part of the Performing Arts Festival (PAF), showcasing their talents across Music, Dance and Drama.

The Performing Arts Festival provides students with the opportunity to perform before adjudicators, receive valuable feedback and develop confidence through authentic performance experiences. For many students, it is a chance to step outside their comfort zone, share their creativity and experience the joy of performing.

This year, Corpus students and ensembles delivered an outstanding 84 entries, achieving 24 Outstanding Awards, 35 Excellence Awards and 21 Merit Awards.

While we are incredibly proud of these results, we are just as proud of the commitment behind them. Every performance represents hours of rehearsal, persistence, teamwork and the courage to step onto a stage and give it your best.

The success of our students reflects the strength of the Arts at Corpus and the passion of those who bring them to life. Through Music, Dance and Drama, students are challenged to grow as performers, collaborators and confident young people, discovering their unique voice and sharing their gifts with our wider community. Thank you to our dedicated staff, directors, conductors and tutors who continue to inspire and nurture a love of the Arts.

There were many highlights across this year's Festival. Amelie was awarded first place in the Woodwind Solo section and also received the prestigious Catenian Association Scholarship for Solo/Duet Woodwind/Brass (Secondary 16 Years and Over). The Corpus Saxophone Ensemble claimed a certificate of Excellence in the Woodwind Ensemble section, showcasing the depth of talent within our Music program.

Harmony achieved the remarkable distinction of receiving Outstanding awards in both Piano Solo and Vocal Solo, while Eva was honoured with the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions Award.

In Dance, the Senior Dance Ensemble was recognised with the Catholic Secondary Principals' Award, reflecting the creativity, dedication and excellence of the ensemble.

Congratulations to every student who participated in this year's Festival and represented Corpus Christi College with Courage, Commitment and Compassion.

As we celebrate these achievements, we look forward to showcasing even more student creativity during this week's Nexus Arts Festival, our annual celebration of artistic expression and community.
