Music at Corpus Christi College

Are you interested in continuing your music pathway and or looking to learn a new instrument? We would like to introduce our Secondary School Music Tutor programs to our incoming students for 2026. Please see below the details for the music offering.

MUSIC TUTOR LESSONS 2026

We have a strong and vibrant music program at Corpus Christi College offering tuition in the following instruments:

Music tutoring is available one-on-one during school hours, typically in 30-minute sessions. Lessons rotate weekly to avoid repeated class disruptions. Priority for out-of-class times is given to Senior School ATAR students. To apply, complete the Music Enrolment 2025 form HERE.

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC BURSARY APPLICATIONS

Applications for the 2026 Music Bursary are now open. If you are an instrumental musician looking to develop your passion for music, this is your chance to shine.  We are looking for strong musicians to fill instrumental positions within existing ensembles. For this reason the bursaries on offer are for specific instruments. Simply complete the Music Bursary Form 2026 which you can find here. We encourage you to act fast as, applications will close on Friday, 10 October 2025.

We’ll be contacting the successful candidates by 24 October 2025, with interviews scheduled during Week 4, Term 4, 2025.

CHOIRS, ENSEMBLES AND BANDS 2026

Corpus Christi College offers a vibrant mix of music opportunities from bands and ensembles to choirs. Our instrumental ensembles for Years 6–12 will rehearse outside school hours, with registrations opening in Term 1.

Dance at Corpus Christi College

Most co-curricular dance options will open in Term 1 2026, but some auditioned groups require expressions of interest beforehand. Details for each auditioned group are listed below.

AUDITIONED GROUPS

Dance Ensemble

The Dance Ensemble is a specialist group of Senior School students, comprising of dancers from Years 7–12. This group is designed for advanced dancers with a strong foundation in the contemporary genre, who are ready to be challenged and extended in their technical and performance skills. It aims to provide extended learning opportunities for our senior students, with a focus on increasing physical competencies, advancing technique, and learning choreography for performance. Dance Ensemble represents the College through performances at events such as the Catholic Performing Arts Festival, the annual Dance Gala, and other special events throughout the year. 

Auditions:

• Term 1, Week 2 – 2027

• Tuesday 2nd February 7.15 am - 8.20 am

• The audition will consist of participating in a technique class led by the Dance Captain/s. 

Details:

• Classes will begin in Term 1, Week 3 through to Term 3 

• Rehearsals will be conducted on Tuesday mornings 7.15 am to 8.30 am.

• Cost - $120.00 per student

• Submission date for this form - Friday 29th January 2027

• Successful students will receive notification by Friday of Week 2

Dance Crew Alliance 

Dance Crew Alliance is a specialist hip-hop group for advanced dancers, focused on providing high-level training, developing technical skills, and building versatility in choreography and performance. This group is designed for students with strong hip-hop foundations who are ready to be challenged and extended. Students involved in this program will have the opportunity to perform in the Dance Gala and the Catholic Performing Arts Festival.

Auditions:

• Term 1, Week 2 – 2027

• Wednesday 3rd February 7.15-8.20 am

• The audition will consist of participating in a technique class led by the Dance Captain/s. 

Details:

• Classes will begin in Term 1, Week 3 through to Term 3 

• Rehearsals will be conducted on Wednesday afternoons 3.20 pm to 4.30 pm.

• Cost - $120.00 per student

• Submission date for this form - Friday 29th January 2027

• Successful students will receive notification by Friday of Week 1
