Salvado and Xavier Week

We’re excited to announce the next Patron House Week, celebrating the spirit of Salvado (green) and Xavier (black)!

We have planned events and activities to strengthen house spirit and camaraderie among our Salvado and Xavier students.

Date: Tuesday, 3 September – Friday, 6 September (Term 3, Week 8).


Junior School (Salvado and Xavier Students)

Dress Code:

  • Monday: House Uniform compulsory.

  • Tuesday: House Uniform compulsory.

  • Wednesday: House Uniform optional.

  • Thursday: House Uniform optional.

  • Friday: House Uniform compulsory.

Accessories in house colours are allowed Tuesday - Friday, but no coloured hair gel, glitter, hair spray, or dye.

What to Bring: $1 for popcorn on Thursday, 5 September.

Scheduled Events:

  • Monday, 2 September: Junior School Athletics Carnival for all students.

  • Tuesday, 3 September:

    • Belonging Breakfast: All Salvado and Xavier students (Pre-Primary to Year 12) are invited to a communal breakfast and games at 8.10am in the College Hall. Students should wear their House Uniform. Please drop off your children at the College Hall, where they will be welcomed and escorted to the Junior School Oval.

    • Before School Photo: Group photo at 8.35am on the Junior School Oval for Salvado and Xavier students (Pre-Primary to Year 12). Drop off at the Belonging Breakfast at 8.10am or directly at the oval by 8.30am. Supervision provided, and students will be escorted to their classes after the photo.

  • Thursday, 5 September:

    • Lunch: All Salvado and Xavier students from Year 1 – Year 6 will be invited to play ‘keepy uppy’ on the Junior School Courts. Popcorn will also be available outside the Junior School Courts for $1.00, with all proceeds going towards house charities. House uniform optional.

  • Friday, 6 September:

    • Liturgy: All Salvado and Xavier students from Pre-Primary to Year 12 are invited to a special liturgy at the Parish at 8.20am for an 8.30am start. Families are welcome to attend. Students should wear their House uniform.

    • Recess: Friday festival & house belonging tree ceremony. All Junior School Salvado and Xavier students and invited House representatives will be invited to an early recess at 10.35am on the Junior School Oval to participate in free activities: music, community Christmas cards, face painting, giant games, and more.


Senior School (Salvado and Xavier Students)

-        Monday: Full Winter uniform.

-        Tuesday: House Uniform compulsory

-        Wednesday: House Uniform optional.

-        Thursday: House Uniform optional.

-        Friday: House Uniform compulsory.

Accessories in house colours are allowed Tuesday - Friday, but no coloured hair gel, glitter, hair spray, or dye.

What to Bring:

  • $1.00 - $3.00 for Bake Sale at Recess, $2.00 for soft drink sales at Lunch on Tuesday, 3 September. Bake Sale donations can be handed in at the Belonging Breakfast on Tuesday morning.

  • $2.00 soft drink and $1.00 each spin of the wheel for the cash/chocolate raffle on Friday 6 September.

    • Activity: Dodgeball at lunchtime in the gym.

    • What to Wear: House Uniform for those participating in Dodgeball, if not please wear formal school uniform.

  • Thursday, 5 September:

    • Who: All Senior School Salvado and Xavier students.

    • What to Wear: House Uniform or formal Uniform.

    • Activity:

      • Homeroom: Community Christmas Cards activity.

      • Afterschool: St Pat’s Cooking activity – express your interest in participating by signing up here.

  • Friday, 6 September:

    • Who: All Salvado and Xavier students (Pre-Primary to Year 12)

    • What to Wear: House Uniform

    • Activity:

      • Liturgy: Special liturgy at the Parish at 8.20am for an 8.30am start. Families are welcome to attend.

House Week Fundraiser

Dear Families,

In Week 8 of Term 3, we are thrilled to celebrate Salvado and Xavier House Week. While students from these Houses will be engaging in special activities, we are pleased to invite all of our Pre-Primary to Year 12 students from all Houses to participate in a few house fundraising activities. This gathering is an opportunity for all Houses to unite in the celebration, with all proceeds going towards House charities.

For those eager to have their children join in, please take note of the following details:

Junior School:

  • Thursday 5 September – Popcorn sales outside the JS Courts at lunchtime, $1.00 with proceeds going to House charity.

Senior School:

  • Tuesday 3 September – Recess Bake Sale outside Mater Christi. Cash only sales – items will be $1.00 – $3.00.

  • Tuesday 3 September – Lunch Live Music: Live music and $2.00 soft drink cash sales outside the Mater Christi Centre.
