Term 4 2026
Welcome to Week 4
-
Our Mission is to Ignite the Spirit of learning for every young Corpus person, by nurturing their curiosity, creativity and a love of discovery that will accompany them throughout life.
Over the past fortnight, our Mission has been evident in many ways across our College community, perhaps most significantly through the opening of our new Junior School Atrium, an amazing learning space for our Year 1 to Year 4 students. On Monday, our youngest learners moved into this incredible new environment. There was a palpable sense of excitement as students explored the spaces designed specifically to support the way they learn. While the building itself is an impressive addition to our campus, its true value lies not in its architecture but in the opportunities it creates for learning. Every classroom, collaborative space and learning area has been designed with our students in mind. These environments create the conditions that encourage inquiry, creativity, communication and reflection.
Our recent Open Day was another wonderful example, being able to see the vast array of opportunities where our students can Ignite their Spirit for learning. More than 700 visitors joined us to experience life at Corpus Christi College and witness the rich variety of opportunities available to our students. Across the campus, learning areas showcased the diverse experiences that help shape the personal educational journey of every student.
One of the most powerful aspects of the day was the involvement of more than 80 student volunteers who generously gave their time to guide tours and share their experiences with prospective families. From our Junior School students through to our senior leaders, their enthusiasm and pride were evident for all to see. They demonstrated that learning at Corpus is about much more than academic achievement; it is about being provided authentic opportunities to live out our Values and to make a difference to others.
We have many people to thank for our new Junior School building. Hours of consultation, planning, collaboration and hard work. The opening of our new Junior School building stands as a testament to what can be achieved when a community shares a common vision. Families, staff, students, parish and the wider community have all played an important role in creating these conditions for our young people to flourish.
As we continue to look toward 2027, I encourage families to join us at our upcoming Friends of Corpus event on Wednesday 18 November 6.30pm - 8.00pm at the James Nestor Junior. The Friends of Corpus Executive will review the achievements of 2026 and seek community feedback to help shape the Strategic Direction of the College in 2027. Following the meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to tour the new Junior School building and see firsthand the learning opportunities it provides for our students.
Best wishes and every blessing

Short-Term Principal

As families continue to adjust to the new Junior School traffic arrangements, we kindly ask everyone to follow the designated pick-up and drop-off procedures to help keep students safe and traffic flowing smoothly.
Please note that the area highlighted in red on the map is an active construction site and restricted building area. For the safety of all students, families and contractors, this area must not be used for parking, pick-up, drop-off or pedestrian access.
Please also ensure your child is collected from the correct zone based on your family surname.
🔗 For full details, including maps, parking locations and traffic flow information, please visit the Junior School Traffic Information page HERE.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue to settle into these new arrangements.
-
Lunch ordering through Flexischools will continue as usual throughout the Junior Atrium construction period.
While construction is underway, the Junior School canteen area will be temporarily unavailable for lunchtime purchases. To ensure your child receives any additional items they would like, including icy poles and Froyo, please add these to their Flexischools order before the school day.

Corpus Christi College was proud to host the Regional Spelling Bee in the Carolyn Payne Theatre, welcoming students, staff, and families from schools across the region. The event celebrated the dedication, perseverance, and literacy skills of students in Years 4, 5, and 6 as they competed in a friendly and challenging competition.
We congratulate our Corpus Christi representatives, who demonstrated exceptional preparation, courage, and perseverance throughout the competition:
Year 4: Eva Fernando and Eleanor Gaynor
Year 5: Katerina D'Monte and Giovan Loanata
Year 6: Gracie-Anais Stock and Noel Anthony
Representing the College at a regional event requires significant commitment and preparation, and our students embraced the challenge with enthusiasm. Throughout the competition, they displayed outstanding concentration, composure, and determination as they tackled increasingly complex words. They listened carefully, applied their spelling knowledge with confidence, and represented Corpus Christi College with pride and excellent sportsmanship. Whether progressing through multiple rounds or facing unfamiliar words, each student demonstrated resilience and a willingness to challenge themselves, reflecting our College values and a genuine love of learning.
Thank you also to the small team of student leaders who assisted throughout the morning and helped create a welcoming environment for our visitors.
A sincere thank you to our staff and families for their support in making the day such a success. Events such as the Regional Spelling Bee provide valuable opportunities for students to build confidence, develop a love of language, and celebrate academic achievement. We congratulate all students who participated and contributed to a memorable and rewarding day.

On 22 October, the Corpus Christi College community gathered at St Mary's Cathedral for the Mass for Graduation 2026, a significant milestone in the journey of the Class of 2026.
The presentation of Graduation Certificates recognised each student's years of learning, growth and achievement, while also marking the beginning of exciting new chapters beyond Corpus. Surrounded by family, friends and staff, graduates reflected on the experiences, opportunities and relationships that have shaped their time at the College.
As a community, we give thanks for the gifts each student has shared and the contributions they have made throughout their years at Corpus. From the classroom, sporting field and performance stage to service initiatives, co-curricular activities and leadership opportunities, the Class of 2026 has left a lasting mark on our College.
As they conclude their Corpus journey, we hope they carry forward the values that have guided them throughout their time here: Courage, Commitment and Compassion. May they continue to be Outstanding for Others in their families, communities and future endeavours.
Congratulations, Class of 2026. You will always be part of the Corpus family, and we are delighted to welcome you into our alumni community.Item description

Sienna Woods Receives Highly Commended Youth Award at the Melville Art Awards
Earlier this term, we celebrated the achievement of Sienna Woods, Sienna McDermott, Ava Timson, Tatum Ware and Zoe West, who were selected as finalists in the Melville Art Awards 2026. We are now delighted to share that Sienna Woods received a Highly Commended Youth Award for her ceramic artwork, Rooted in Form.
As one of Western Australia's longest-running community art awards, the Melville Art Awards showcase outstanding artistic talent from across the region. To have five Corpus Christi College students selected as finalists was a remarkable achievement, and Sienna's recognition is a wonderful acknowledgement of the creativity, skill and dedication demonstrated by our young artists.
Sienna's award-winning piece, Rooted in Form, impressed the judges with its thoughtful exploration of natural forms and texture through ceramic practice. Her success reflects the passion, perseverance and artistic growth fostered through the Visual Arts at Corpus.
The achievements of Sienna, alongside fellow finalists Sienna McDermott, Ava Timson, Tatum Ware and Zoe West, highlight the strength of the College's Visual Arts program and the commitment our students bring to their creative pursuits.
Congratulations to Sienna on this well-deserved recognition and to all five finalists for representing Corpus Christi College so proudly.

Call Out To Celebrate Student Achievements
At Corpus, we’re proud of the many talents and passions our students pursue beyond the classroom. Whether it’s a sporting triumph, a creative milestone, or a personal best in a beloved hobby, we’d love to share and celebrate these moments with our College community.

We’ll feature these stories in our College e-newsletter to inspire and celebrate the diverse gifts and talents of our students.
