About the Role

The role of the Food Technology Technician at Corpus Christi College is a key member of the Technology and Enterprise Learning Area at the College that provides practical and administrative support to the Senior School Home Economics team to enable the effective delivery of curriculum programs. Active participation in planning and food safety is expected, along with well-developed organisational skills and effective stock control.

We are seeking applications from highly organised individuals to join our College for a fixed-term contract covering staff leave for Term 4, 2025. This is a part-time role working 7.00am-2.45pm Monday to Friday.

About You

Our ideal candidates will be eligible to obtain a current National Police Clearance and WWC clearance in addition to possessing;

  • Experience in a similar food preparation role in a hospitality or education setting

  • Proficiency in food preparation and handling

  • Working knowledge of food hygiene requirements

  • Proficiency in ordering and checking of stock/inventory

  • Ability to navigate and use recipe management and ordering software

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook and Teams

  • Sound written communication and verbal skills

  • Demonstrated organisation skills and effective time management

  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

  • Initiative, problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

  • Strong commitment to OSH and food hygiene

  • A personal commitment to the College Values, Vision and Mission underpinning the delivery of a Catholic based education to students in the College community and a willingness to support the Catholic ethos of the College
