About the Role
The Head of Religious Education is a pivotal leadership role - one that sits at the very heart of our College Mission. It carries the unique responsibility of shaping the faith life of our students while leading excellence in Religious Education as an academic discipline. This is more than curriculum leadership; it is a role that calls for vision, creativity, and a deep commitment to forming the whole person.
The Head of Religious Education stands at this vital intersection where faith formation and academic growth meet. The successful candidate will work in close partnership with the Catholic Identity and Mission Team to ensure that the classroom is not separate from the Mission of the College but integral to it. Through this collaboration, students are offered opportunities to encounter faith in ways that are accessible, engaging, and life-giving.
Above all, this role is one of influence and transformation. It is about leading a learning area that not only achieves academic excellence but also forms young people who are thoughtful, compassionate, and committed to making a difference in the world.
This is a full-time, ongoing position commencing in Term 1, 2026.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be appropriately qualified, hold current TRBWA registration and WWC clearance in addition to;
Effective, principled and ethical leadership following the Catholic model of servant leadership.
An enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a passion for lifelong learning through inquiry learning, knowledge acquisition, critical thinking skills and literature.
A commitment to innovation, continuous improvement and future planning.
Demonstrated understanding of technology and its application in teaching and learning.
Proven leadership skills including the ability to promote a positive culture, mentor and coach staff and build a strong team.
Demonstrated management and strategic planning skills.

Demonstrated ability to provide student-focused service and excellent interpersonal skills, including networking and collaboration.
