We are a Catholic community committed to empowering every learner
to serve and enrich our changing world

Celebrating 25 Years

Corpus Christi College
1983 - 2008

On the 17 April 1983 Corpus Christi College was officially opened as a co-educational Catholic College for secondary students by the Archbishop of Perth, Sir Lancelot Goody, and the Commonwealth Minister for Finance, Mr John Dawkins.

The College was established by the Catholic Education Commission as the first non-order owned co-educational Catholic Secondary College in the Archdiocese of Perth.

The doors opened that year with 128 Year 8 students and seven teaching staff and has since grown to its present numbers of 1070 students from Year 8 - 12 and 130 staff. In 2009 we will grow once again as we welcome Year 7’s into the College.

Although 25 is still 'young' the College has established itself in the community as a vibrant, modern and supportive learning environment which focuses on success and enabling all students to be independent and interdependent learners who are confident, resilient and committed to achieving their potential. As a Catholic College we are committed to our purpose of empowering every learner to serve and enrich our changing world and as our motto instructs to "Follow the Lord".

To mark the 25th Anniversary several events took place during 2008 where the whole College Community celebrated our College history and achievements with students and staff, both past and present.
