Theatre Operations & Technical Support Manager

The College is seeking a dynamic Theatre Operations & Technical Support Manager to provide technical expertise and on-the-ground support for events and productions at the College’s 400-seat Theatre and associated on-site venues.  

This role at our new Theatre involves public relations, theatre management and technical production and has a student interface, which sets it apart from standard Theatre Manager roles. It is envisaged that the successful applicant will manage all aspects of committing the theatre facility for use, including liaising with internal users and external hirers. Applicants should themselves be fully conversant with audio-visual equipment and any associated software/ tools required for the successful staging of performances and presentations.  

In working closely with the Arts Learning Area to successfully stage its program of events, and also with ICT, Grounds & Maintenance and Finance & Administration in supporting community events, the role requires high level teamwork and communication skills to maintain productive working relationships.

Please note: The position is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week). Flexibility in work hours is essential to accommodate evening and weekend events. The Theatre Operations & Technical Support Manager is required to work during school holidays; annual leave provisions will apply.
